Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I was caught smoking marijuana on Michigan state campus in the dormitories in mid december 2009. the cops told me that i had to choices, assist a narc agent and possibly have the charges dropped, or get a ticket. I said i would comply with the narc and i gave them the number of a dealer. i was contacted by a narc agent a month later, and we never met. i was another month till he again contacted me. we had a meeting set up, i wasn't able to make the meeting so i called him and left a voice mail explaining i could meet the next day or next week. again, i havent heard from him since leaving the voicemail. they confiscated paraphernalia ( a cheap plastic grinder) and about 1.5 grams of marijuana. i had never been previously charged with any drug related offenses, until yesterday when i was given an MIP.
