Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Having a charge
In 2003, I was charged for simply having a scanner in my vehicle (MCL-750.508). This law was recently changed to allow police scanners to be used in vehicles so long as it isn't used in a crime. In my case, I wasn't using it to commmit a crime, just merely possessing it in a vehicle. Is there any way to have this charge expunged from my record being that the law has changed?

Any change in the law would not constitute reason to expunge the conviction from your record. It might be possible to do so on other grounds. Feel free to contact us at 180057660 if you want to explore that option with an attorney.
