Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I was charge with 3rd degree retail fraud. No cop was invovled. They took my id and everything else they needed. Then they gave me a statement of the total i took and type it down saying that i took unpaid things. I sign it since i did take it. After that they gave me a civil demand customer notice saying i have to call a number to see how much i owe since they go through a third party system. My question is should i paid them or should i wait to see what my attorney say. Also was it wrong of them to go through my pruse. They guy who took me in just went into my purse to grab out my id. Didnt even asked if he could go in it or not. Also when i was outside there were a couple of people seem to be circling me. Whi h i wasnt even trying to run. When they asked me to go back in the store i told thwm ok. Didnt even try to run or anything.
