my 17 year old son was living back at home temp. I let his friend stay with him for a little while. I came home one moring from friends house to find police at my apt. they asked if they could search my house in suspicion of stolen property that had occured the night prior. I said yes and let them without a warrant. they did not find anything after they thourghly searched apt. The boys left a few days later came back to get some clothes while i was going to the bank and running arons. few days later police were back asking if they were here i said no they are not here anymore. We have been questioned 3 different times by police. they have searched 2 times without a warrant, nothing found and now they are saying they think they were too late... and are telling me that i could be in trouble for concealing stolen property. how can i get in trouble when i let them search 2 times without a warrant and have complied to everything. my son said he did not do this crime. they seem to think he was involved. What should i do???? I

Re: possible charged with concealing stolen property

Do NOT provide any more information to police. I'm not sure why folks feel compelled to answer questions or let the police inside of their home without a search warrent, so do yourself and your son a favor and stop being so friendly. In the meantime, if you or your son are charged with any crimes, hire an attorney.
