Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
charged with destruction then wages garnished before court ?
i was recently fired from my job with advanced communications inc.
a cable contract company. illegal by the way i followed company policy and they fired me because some executive said he didnt like me and they said this to me. 2 days later a cop called me and said they are accusing me of kicking a small dent into a ACI work truck, and want me charged with it, today when my brother was mailed my check from the boss they have deducted and withheld over half the check they owe me almost 700.00 dollars saying in writing it was for ''truck damage''. i havnt even been to arrainment yet. IS is legal for them to do this and by this i mean garnish my pay before im even convicted of a crime. I intend on pleading Innocent to these charges when asked. What should my next course of action be. i already have a lawyer on this matter but he is out of state right now and i am looking to get the jump on this in anyway i can. Should i call the police and have them charged with theft or my pay or call and have my lawyer put pressure on the state to drop the charges or higher a civil attorney as well . thank in advance for any advice you all can offer.

Your attorney should advise you that withholding money from your paycheck in these circumstances is unlawful.
