Insistence on your story that "I pushed past my husband after an argument" Is not going to be acceptable to a Judge. Usually the police report will inform the judge of enough facts to support a plea of no contest under MCLA 769.4a, but often it is not as no contest pleas are not allowed by the statute. But it can be done.

At least get a court appointed attorney and rethink your story before you speak with her. Under 769.4a, your charge can be taken under advisement for a year and then dismissed if you have no further troubles with the law - which is a probability if your husband was the one who called the police. If alcohol was involved, you may have to abstain from booze during your probation.

Section 769.4a
