check forgery
what will be a person's sentence for stealing checks, forging signature, and cashing them? if the victim's bank account is closed?

The judge will determine a sentence if a person is found guilty of these offenses. It is impossible for anyone to accurately predict what the judge will do.

Uttering and Publishing or Forgery are the two most commonly used charges for this type of offense (although many other charges could also apply). The maximum penalty for each of these is 14 years in prison.
