Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

cop waited for me to get to my driveway, pulled me over, appeared he had no initial reason for doing so,asked alot of odd questions about drugs, took three hours, calling in other units, requesting k-9 and so on Did Not find anything(drugs) took me to jail for forgery, driving no licence,no insurance, failure to transfer title bailed out and home raided that night based on the pull over...when i went to court over this, the forgery was thrown out. my question is was the raid legal when they based it on forgery? how can they throw it out and still use it for reasonable cause on something seperate?

Neil O'Brien Eaton County Special Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

Wait, you had an attorney on the forgery charge, right? Or, did you get that criminal felony charge "thrown out" on your own, representing yourself? Did you ask THAT attorney (who knew a lot more factual details than you gave us) the same "how can they throw it out and still use it for reasonable cause on something seperate?" question? What was that attorney's answer?

You don't tell us why the forgery charge was "thrown out", so it's next to impossible to analyze how a forgery-charge-thrown-out-for-unknown-reasons impacts the search.
