Re: Criminal case deferments in michigan

It's hard to answer your question because you don't tell us what the actual charges are, case details, whether the cases are all in one county or split among counties, are the charges from separate incidents, how old you are, etc.

Another important factor is who the judges are for your cases, since judges are more likely to favorably use their discretion to put defendants on programs that can result in dismissal of the case after probation is successfully completed ... and some are less likely (e.g., MCL 333.7411 for drug use/possession; MCL 769.4a for domestic violence; Holmes Youthful Trainee Act).

The odds that you can work a package deal on all 4 charges to not retain criminal convictions are low ... but still might be possible. Prosecutors and judges have discretion to oppose such requests, but 'discretion' also means that the answer can be "yes".

You should consult with or hire and attorney, or apply for a court-apointed attorney who can review your case facts and the options you have to resolve the cases as favorably as possible.
