Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Criminal Law: No contest Plea
I plead no contest to a home invation charge. Does that plea protect me from being sued by the plaintiff for say a broken door or window? I had not broke anything being I would assume that would be part of my restitution.
Thanks.

Re: Criminal Law: No contest Plea
You can still be sued but the plea cannot be used against you in a civil law suit.
