Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Csc 4 ?

I did a stupid thing allowing my kids(1 mine and 2 fiances ages 4,7 and 11)to run in and hop into the bathtub while I was in it.As soon as they got in I told them to turn around and got out.The oldest girl has been questioned by child protective services,a police officer and the prosecutor. She has repeatedly told everyone nothing else happened and she didnt even see me naked. The girls mentioned we took a bath with dad to one of the girls grandparents and he called child protection. Now I am not allowed to live at my home, child protection said so,and am in court proceedings. Was in district but on the advice of my attorney(public defender)I pleaded no contest and am now going to circuit court on the 17th of June. The reason is the prosecutor offered csc 4.Criminal sexual conduct 4?Not sure.He said I would probably get 2 years probation.I guess its against the law for adults to take a bath with kids even though it wasnt intended. And it would look bad to a jury so I should take that. The state said I couldnt go home for 6 months, will I be able to go home on the other charge while on probation?

Did you waive your preliminary exam? What exactly has you court appointed atty told you regarding your conviction? You are looking at possible jail/prison. Also, you would be orderd to register on the State's Sex Offender Registry for 25 years. There are some issues here that we could explore. Please call me ASAP to discuss further. Where is the evidence that you intended to commit the crime? Remember the burden of proof is on the prosecution. Your case is tough but you need to discuss fully with an attorney, court-appointed or otherwise. Good luck to you!
