Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
If I am on a deferred judgement for retail fraud 3rd degree, can I answer the following question "No"
"Have you ever been convicted of or plead guilty or no contest to a crime?" I was under the impression that I could answer "No", because my sentence will be taken of my record when I'm done with my probation and my lawyer is going to get my fingerprints and arrest records back. I'm trying to get a substitute teaching certificate in the state of Michigan.

Ask your lawyer. We don't know what Court you are in, so cannot tell you whether it is on your record and then will come off, or whether it is being held until completion. Tim Klisz
