Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Discover In Criminal Cases

I need help locating information. I am looking for a source that will explain the argument/reasons for limited discloser of discovery for criminal cases (State for Federal). I can find a great deal of information in support of reform but nothing in support of or explaining the current laws. If you could please point me toward some resources, I would appreciate the help. I need this information to complete an extra credit assignment for my class. Thank You!
