Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
disturbing the peace as juvenile
My 16 year old son has been charged with disturbing the peace. He and his friend came out of a gas station and three other boys approached them. One of the three started hitting my sons friend. My son grabbed that boy and attempted to restrain him against a wall. In the process, he was being punched by this boy and my son hit him back. While he was doing this, another of the group of three hit my son in the back of the head. My son and his friend left there and went to his friends house where they called the police. All involved all now charged the same. My son hasn't ever been in a fight, didn't know these boys and was basically trying to prevent a fight. What should we do? Hire an attorney? This happened in Michigan.

Of course you should hire an attorney. Your son doesn't need a record!

yes, it is important to hire an attorney to represent your son. It can be kept off of his criminal record. If the case is in SE Michigan, contact me at www.kliszlaw.com for a free phone consultation. Tim Klisz.
