Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Domestic Violene
My boyfriend is being charged with felonious assault. I called the cops and they asked if he had a weapon I said he had a knife. we were arguing. When the police showed up the arrested him and questioned me. When I got the police report the cop wrote it said he opened his knife a chased me when what happened he grabbed his knife and other stuff he carries with him. Walked towards me because I was in the doorway when I ran he went the other way and left. He never opened the knife. How do I stop the charges.

Your boyfriend's attorney should meet with you to assist him. If he's got an experienced and aggressive attorney, he ought to be OK.
