Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

drug offense

i was convicted of attempted delivery of a controled substance (1.7 grams of marijuana) i would like to hunt but can't own a firearm due to the fact that i was charged with a felony. is there anyway i can appeal this? i was charged in 1997 its been over ten years.
