Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
in a with someone that had drugs and did'nt know it?
What would happen if somone was in a car with another person that had drugs and didn't know it , would the person without drugs get in trouble along with the person that has drugs? if so what is the punishment?

Depending on the County you could also be charged with possession depending on where the drugs were found in the car and under what circumstances. If you are charged you should contact a criminal defense attorney to assist you. If the drugs were found on the person of the other occupant of the vehicle it would seem that the case against you would be weak. Weak cases however has never stopped a prosecutor from trying to convict a defendant. Do not make any statements to the police without the advice of an attorney.
