Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Drugs- Heroin/ Marijuana possession

Substance task force broke down my door on suspision of heroin sales. Searched and from a quater gram of H. 42 M plants parapenilla and suspision of sales. Questioned me and was straight forward they then left me there.

So my question is. What is going to happend to me cause i wasnt really informed of that. Im not under arrest or have a warrant. So do they just come back and pick me up when ever they want?

The facts you've present are somewhat incomplete. Did they have a warrant to search your house? If not, there are only few limited exceptions to search your home without a warrant. If they violated your rights, a good lawyer can suppress the evidence (drugs found)as result of the police illegality. Contact an attorney right away. Do not talk to detectives, police, etc.. Assert your right to "speak to an attorney." Doing so, triggers your constitutional rights. Contact me, if you wish to discuss further this matter, Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700

It is likely that the drugs will go to a crime lab for analysis. Once it is confirmed they are in fact drugs, a warrant is usually issued.

I recommend you use this time to get an attorney on board BEFORE you hear from the cops again. You need somebody with experience to help you and to prevent you from doing further damage to your case.

You are certainly looking at a few felonies here. They may send you a letter to turn yourself in, or they will simply pick you up. Tell them nothing and have your lawyer already hired. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss specifics. Tim Klisz
