Embezzlement over $50,000.00

Will my bank accounts be frozen once formal charges are placed against me for embezzlement? What else can I expect.

The prosecutor might ask the court to freeze your assets. If you suspect that you will be charged, you should be speaking with an experienced, aggressive attorney RIGHT NOW. You can expect being found guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 10 years or a fine of not more than $15,000.00 or 3 times the value of the money or property embezzled, whichever is greater, or both imprisonment and a fine.

By the way, your bank accounts won't be frozen, they will be seized. Notice the use of the future tense, i.e. "will".

Can you imagine what a prudent person would do to avoid this premature siezure?

None of my embezzlers have gone to prison or paid more than actual restitution.
