Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Former employee & verbal threat
I called a former employee to have him finish some work he had not finished. We had a phone conversation and he told me that he wasn't threatening but promising to do harm to my husband. He also told me if I called again that ''it wouldn't be pretty'' and said ''I know where you live.'' He has had 2 charges of B&E with intent. I feel if I do something it may escalate his behavior. What can/should I do?

Call the police and make a police report. Also have your lawyer ask the court for a PPO.

Don't call him anymore - why would you want someone like that to finish any work? It's not worth the hassle. If you feel threatened or that he may act on his "promises," file a police report.
