Under Michigan's current laws, you can petition to set aside ("expunge") your 'one and ONLY" criminal conviction once you've passed the 5-yr anniversary of your conviction date.

Because he has more than one conviction, he cannot petition to set aside either of them. But, laws do change ... and this particular law had proposed changes in 2008 that would have expanded opportunities to set aside convictions, but the bills were never adopted. It's possible that similar bills will be filed in the coming years that -- if adopted and signed into law by the governor -- could allow your husband to set aside one or both of his felonies.
