Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I have some equipment that was left in my possession when the company I worked for went out of business. There was never any requests to return anything before or after they closed their doors for good. My question is, since there is nothing left of the entity, would the ownership of the equipment that was left behind revert to me, or does it remain property of an entity that doesn't exist? (essentially owned by no one).
Thank You.

It certainly will not become your property unless the owner gives it to you. It still belongs to the entity or the bankruptcy trustee if it is in court. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
