Setting aside a conviction (or "expungment") is a popular topic here. Search the Q&A Database at lawguru.com for past questions and answers using those terms.
In short, you have to be at least 5 years post-sentencing. And, the charge you are trying to set aside must be your one and only criminal conviction ever, anywhere. (This latter requirement is what trips up most people and makes them ineligible.)
