Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Ive been with my ex-girlfriend for 5 years and she knows i use to sell drugs but i quit that years ago and i currently have 2 decent jobs and decided to end the relationship with her. She got so angry and smacked me and punched me and now she is harrasing me with text messeges saying alot of bulgarity and telling me she will go to the police and make sure i end up in jail rather than seeing me with somebody else. Like i said these things shes talking about are from the past in ive changed.

What are the chances that she can cause me problems? Can she really put me in jail? And what can i do about her harrasing and protect my self ?

You can ask the court to grant you a Personal Protection Order against her to stop the harrassment. You should consult with a criminal defense attorney about the particulars of your past issues.

I would do nothing - just stay away from her. Her threats are baseless. Try to keep your new girlfriend away from her too.
