Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My exhusband is constantly accusing me of perjury, fraud and conspiracy in emails, unrelated court motions and responses and in front of anyone who will listen to him. It is all entirely false. It feels like stalking. I have umpteen documents with his written accusations as well as emails, which also contain threats of his continued harassment if I don't cave in and alleviate him of his settlement debts. Is there any legal recourse for such behavior and bold-faced lie in his attempts to defame me and harm my reputation?

You should file a police report. The definition of stalking in Michigan is: a willful course of conduct involving repeated or continuing harassment of another individual that would cause a reasonable person to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, threatened, harassed, or molested and that actually causes the victim to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, threatened, harassed, or molested.
What you are going through sounds like stalking to me.
I agree with Dorio but also sounds like extortion pursuant to MCL 750.213 (felony). Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700
