what is the time guideline to be eligible for an expungement in Michigan

5 years after your conviction date. But you can set aside only one conviction ... and it must be your one and only criminal (felony or misdemeanor) conviction anywhere. Even a 2nd misdemeanor as insignificant as DWLS will bar you (under current Michigan law) from setting aside any conviction.
