Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Extortion of funds from ex wife
My fiancee is being threated by her ex, and I want to know how to protect her from it. After their divorce, there was a credit card with him as primary (his name on card) and her as secondary. He was to pay this card. He has not, and is threatening to destroy her credit unless she pays it. Is this a form of extortion under Mi. law? How can we protect her from this?

Her divorce attorney can deal with her ex. Their divorce judge can also assist her.
