Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I am having F1 visa i commited a shoplifting in Michigan and i am going to court next week. i am so sorry and so scared. Do this affect if i want to apply for my green card or i want to renew my F1 visa

This may be a crime of moral turpitude depending upon the amount of the goods taken. If convicted of such a crime, you become immediately deportable as the court is required by law to report your conviction to Homeland Security. I can remove this threat in court, but it must be done before your first appearance.

There are no do-overs in this situation. You must get it right the first time.
