Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
False document in court
If a landlord tries to sue me and submits an altered rental agreement to the court in a default judgement (i never received notice) can I have him crimminally charged for fraud if I can prove he submitted false documents? I don't even know why he did it since it doesn't seem to help his case, it changed the term from 6 to 12 months and actually had a lower rent amount listed. The only altered page was the first one that dealt with the term and rent amount. Also hed added his signature as a witness since his partner now lives out of state.

You should report this matter to the police and to the judge in your case.
