Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My father-in-law had a situation a number of years ago where his girlfriend at the time signed his name on a number of credit cards and student loans for her son. Some time has passed and she hasn't made right on any of these. He ended up taking out a loan in his own name to consolidate these debts to protect his credit. Is he able to pursue and legal action for fraud or anything like that? I realize that a number of years has passed, but we were curious if there is anything we can do. My father-in-law lives in Michigan and I live in Texas.

He could certainly sue her on the debt itself. He had to pay it and now she owes him. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
