felonies are very difficult to get taken under advisement. There is a program in Wayne county, but there are certain restrictions to get in. Please contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

Re: Felony ADW down to Advisement
You have been charged by the People of the State of Michigan with a felony and likely will soon have a preliminary exam in the 52-1 District Court.
This case will be an Oakland County prosecution and your chances of you personally convincing a court to take this charge under advisement are non-existent. District Courts can't take felonies under advisement.
There is a possibility that the victim's current frame of mind may lead to a lessening of the charge to a misdemeanor which can be considered for advisement, but because of the no-contact bond you have you won't know (and don't try contacting her either personally or through a third party - it will only make matters for you a lot worse).
To give you a better reading, you can schedule a no-charge consultation with my office.
Re: Felony ADW down to Advisement
A lot is going to depend on finding the right attorney to help you with this. I have had good results in getting a felony reduced to a misdemeanor. If you need help with this, contact my office. Don't try going it alone. Even though an attorney may be expensive, over the long run you will save a lot in fines plus you may find you have a hard time getting a job because you are a felon.
