felony assualt

I was approached by a process server who drove up in my backyard and I told him to leave and he didn't I then picked up a bar-b-q lid and told him to leave and i was charged with felony assualt help

It is a crime to assaut a court officer ... and a process server is a court officer. The lowest level of this offense is a felony carrying up to 2 yrs in prison and/or $2k fine.

If there were injuries involved, the charge goes higher.

Whether your conduct was legally justified (e.g., self-defense) or your conduct was an actual assaut is another question where more facts must be known. Consult a defense attorney in your area.
