Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I am up against felony charge or larceny and two finical transactions charges. The court appointed attorney that I have talked without the prosecutor and the deal offered is I plead to a charge and others are dropped. In addition there is a cap that is on it that goes from 0 to 9 months which depends. I am a senior college student who graduates this spring and i do a lot for the community. I have done one month already and was released on bail. since I have been out I have been a model citizen going to work, class and doing everything I am supposed to do correctly. Should I accept the deal and go forward, fire the court appointed attorney and get a noter, or fight it and go to trial?

There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion especially if you don't feel confident with your court appointed attorney.
