Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Felony drug charge

My boyfriend is being charged with crack possession under 25gr. This is his second felony so his potential sentence is being doubled. This is his first drug charge. Could he still get 7411. He was on probation for the first felony and stopped reporting. He was picked up and jailed after that and cooperated and completed his sentence and was off probation when he was picked for this possession charge. We have a court appointed atty, who acts like this is no big deal. I am concerned and don't know if we need to hire an atty. of our own. Could you really end up injail for this? What are the odds that they will let him plead out?

Re: Felony drug charge

7411 is available for any first drug charge for possession. As to whether he will get jail time or not, that depends on his sentencing guidelines.

It's not possible to intelligently assess your boyfriend's case with the very little information that you've given.

He could indeed go to prison if he's convicted. Our defense team has nearly 70 years of combined experience fighting criminal charges. I would VERY STRONGLY recommend that you boyfriend call us right away at
