Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

felony

My granddaughter was caught drunk driving three times. She is listed as a felon. She has been sober now for two or three years. she has never been a dishonest person. Has gone through drug court and passed with no problem. How can she get that felony of her record so she can get a good job. She has a hard time getting a job because of the felon charge. She is not a criminal and should not be trsated like one

Thank you

Re: felony

First, your granddaughter IS a "criminal". Drunk driving is a crime, and she has done it three times.

Second, she cannot have any of her convictions set aside because, to do so, you can have one and only one conviction. She has more than one conviction, so she is not eligible to have any of her convictions set aside through the courts where she was convicted.

Re: felony

Unfortunately, the felony record cannot be removed, unless she gets a pardon. It will be on her record forever. Sorry.
