Re: Felony?
A little less than ten years ago, Michigan changed the dollar threshold between felonies and misdemeanors for many crimes. The difference used to be at $100.00. Now, it's generally at $1,000.00. So, if the crime happened after the laws were changed, a $100 theft would be a misdemeanor. But if you're asking about a 25-year old case, then a theft over $100 would likely have been a felony ... and would remain a felony despite the recent changes for current crimes.
To set aside a conviction, you can have one and only one felony or misdemeanor conviction. Two or more, and it's a no-go. There's a technical/specific process to go through in the court where you were convicted. While a person can do this without an attorney, it is wise to invest in hiring an attorney to make sure it is done correctly.

Over 100 used to be a felony and if it was from 25 years ago, will probably be treated that way. However, if the conviction was in Florida, any expungment would have to be done there.
Re: Felony?
If your conviction was in Michigan and if this is the one and only criminal conviction that you've ever had in your life, we can help by asking the court to expunge your record.
