Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My fianc was convicted of larceny of a building and filing a false police report. She is serving a 5 month sentance in county jail. The order of probation the judge issued orders her to substance abuse classes even though her crime had nothing to do with substance abuse. She also has a restriction barring her from being in a home with Internet access, again even though her crime had nothing to do with the Internet. She also has a restriction limiting her to a three mile radius from home without her PO's permission. Do these measures seem extreme or predjudicial in Michigan?
