Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Forgery Charge
My sister has already admitted guilt for writing checks from her former employer for her personal use. She disagrees to the amount they said she took. The detectives and prosecutor had her sign a waiver at their first interview. Due to being naive she signed it. She said she did not know what it was that she was signing that just because they told her to sign it she did. She has no legal representation and was booked today. She goes before the judge tommorow morning. The bail was set at $25,000 and we can not afford to pay a bail bondsman to get her out of jail. How should she plead (guilty or no contest)?

she desperately needs a lawyer right away. Do not plead guilty. Do not speak to the police or any investigators. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further details and advice. Tim Klisz
Re: Forgery Charge
Plead not guilty or stand mute. There are several ways to get her bond reduced or getting her out of jail without having to post the entire amount. It is imperative that she not speak with anyone until she gets a lawyer. Contact my office, I would be happy to speak with you, Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700
