Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Forgery
What are the time limits placed on a felony for forgery in Michigan. That would be for signing someone elses name along with your own on a check and cashing it?

Re: Forgery
I assume you're really asking for the "statute of limitations" (i.e., how long after a crime occurred can a charge be brought)?
In Michigan, the general statute of limitations for crimes is 6 years.
The incident you briefly describe could be a Forgery (MCL 750.248; 14 year maximum), and/or Uttering & Publishing (MCL 750.249; 14 year maximum).
