Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

my friend was arrested the other day for retail fraud and was not given her miranda rights. Is that legal. She was just told to turn around , got hand cuffed and put into the car. She couldnt say anything after they booked her she was in a holding cell asked for a blanket after 45 minutes she asked again and they said they didnt have any The other girs in the cell said they have been asking for food and toliet paper for hours and she had reciepts for the stuff they said was stolen except for 3 games that were under the basket it was a plain mistake and they charged her for all of the items she owned as well is there any thing she can do
