Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

My friend and I are facing a breaking and enetering charge as well as an attempt to break into a safe. One of us is also a minor assault charge however no one was harmed in any way. We were released from holding on a personal 10,000 dollar bond.We live in michigan and these are our first offenses. What are we looking at with a court appoionted attorney? And what would it cost us to get an outside attorney?
