Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
So a friend of mine was robbed and he found out who it was so he went back with some friends to get back his money. When he went there a fight broke out between his friend and the person who robbed him. The person who robbed him pulled out a weapon and attacked his friend. The guy who pulled out the weapon got hurt. Later he went to the police after being looked for and told them the whole story. They charged him and his friend with 2 felonies. They prosecutor offered him a plea bargain of probation and simple robbery conviction. The prosecutor said a item was taken. He didn't take it but recently just found out a friend who was with him did. Should he return the laptop anonymously? would it help?

This is one of those situations where you walk slowly away from everyone involved and leave them alone. You might consider relocating.
