If this is written as a city ordinance you are looking at up to 90 days in jail and up to a $500 fine. I would highly suggest representation. If you go in unrepresented, you could have a misdemeanor on your record. You most likely won't get jail, but you never know. Feel free to contact my office for a free consultation. Eric I. Re: furnishin alcohol to a minor

Furnishing alcohol to a minor is a misdemeanor. It can be charged under local ordinance or state law. Assuming you aren't aren't a "retail licensee" (e.g.- working at a party store) the charge carries a mandatory $1,000 fine and carries a potential 60 day jail sentence. If keeping your record clean is a priority, you should retain an attorney. Please feel free to call me if you are interested in legal representation. (248) 422-2245

I believe it will help you, but you should still contact a lawyer considering the seriousness of the charge.
