Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Furnishing Alcohol to minors
This past weekend I went to a park
with my friends and enjoyed the
simple pleasure of a beer around a
campfire. A DNR officer came and
cited my four friends for drinking
underage and cited me (as i was the
only one over 21 years of age) with
furnishing alcohol to minors. My
friends are willing to state how they
obtained their alcohol and how I did
not give it to them. However, have I
still committed a crime because the
consumption of alcohol by minors
occurred on a site under my name?
Also, how big of a fine can I expect?
