Your girlfriend should turn herself in on the bench warrant, preferably with an experienced attorney such as myself present. I would bet, unless it was a serious felony or she had a huge record that she would get out on a PR bond. Then, she could get the PPO on the other matter.
Re: my girlfriend needs help....
First of all, your girlfriend needs to get rid of that bench warrant. Call the court that issued it, find out he bond amount and raise the money for her to turn herself in. Get a lawyer to appear with her.
If she doesn't do this, the next time she gets pulled over, she goes to jail and then her ex has the house all to himself.
Then she can get a restraining order (PPO) BUT to get one she has to be more specific than "she is scared he might try something".
What' s "something"?
If she's just tired of having him around her house, she can evict him with a 30 day notice - unless he's on the lease.
