Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

need help on who to see and what to do

I was goin to buy this car from this guy but changed out mind since then he has sent me emails tellin me hes sue me and stuff then he has put ads up on craigslist about things my husband was supposly giving away leave my husband name and number i contacted craigslist and they were able to give me the info i needed to prove it was him I contacted the police twice and they told me to contact a lawyer or attorney and go from there I need to know what I can do about this I have all the documents and info about him and everything he has been doing to us. Thank you

I think that you posted this in the wrong section of Lawguru.com. You posted it in the Criminal Law section but your problem seems more like a General Civil law issue or a Contracts issue because it involves issues from an aborted sale.

If so, you might want to repost your question in other areas of law because folks responding to Criminal Law questions are not vouching for extensive knowledge in contracts law or general civil law.
