We answer a lot of expungment (setting aside a conviction) questions here. Search the lawguru.com "Q&A Database" (link on left side of Lawguru.com window) and search for Michigan Criminal Law sections, and add text like "expungment" or "set aside a conviction". You should see many questions and answers.

Basically, if you are more than 5 yrs down the road after all court involvement on a case (probation, jail, etc., whichever is latest), you can apply through the court of conviction. But there is a strict process that you must follow, so it is a good idea to consult an attorney to help.

Also, this must be your one and only misdmeanor or felony conviction. ANY other criminal conviction should disquaify you.

We might be able to get all public record of your conviction expunged. Phone me on Monday to discuss.
