Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Habitual offender
My fiance was charged as a habitual and we were not aware of that until after the jury came back with a guilty verdict. Shouldn't we have known that he was being charged as a habitual so maybe he could of took a plea bargin?

Yes, the prosecutor should file a habitual offender notice.
