Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Hi! I hired an attorney October 12, 2012, to have my felony expunged. I paid in full the $ 1500.00 cost. I did all the leg work myself to save cost of higher fees. I've only heard from them twice since 2012. Today's date February 11. 2013, and still no communication from them. My question to you, how long does it take for an expungement, and can I request a refund of my money. THANK YOU.

An expungement should take no more than a few months, several at the most. The lack of communication is very troubling. I would suggest filing a grievance against them at the State Bar of Michigan. Call (313) 961-6585 for more information on how to do this.
