Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I hired a backyard mechanic to weld and repair a exaust pipe on my car,he not only did a bad weld job,he stole my catalyst converter and sold to scrap,i had this job done by word from another ,he did cheap labor,with no written agreement,no receipt ect,how do i proceed to get reemburced,for cost to get new system i had licenced mechanic put in new catalyst and pipes

If you know who he is, you can call the police and make a report and ask that he be charged with the theft. If this happens, you can ask the court to order restitution (pay you the amount you lost. Save your receipts).
The other thing you can do is take him to small claims court. It costs a little up front but you can ask the court to include your filing fees and process server fees if you win.
